Celebrating Catholic Schools Week!
Each year between the last week in January and the first week in February, Catholic schools throughout the diocese join in the annual nationwide celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Students and their families, faculty, administrators and all those who support our Catholic schools mark the week with special events and activities, prayer and community service projects.
The week is also highlighted by Mass with the bishop of our diocese at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew typically attended by over 800 students and staff members from Catholic schools throughout the diocese.
Catholic Schools Week was first observed in 1974. It is a joint project of the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
