Associate Superintendent for Catechesis and Evangelization (K-Adult)

The Catholic Education Office of the Archdiocese of St. Louis is searching for an Associate Superintendent for Catechesis and Evangelization.  The Associate Superintendent is responsible for the effective development, coordination, and evaluation of religious education programs for adults, youth, and children in the archdiocese.  He/she is responsible for carrying out the catechetical vision expressed by the Archbishop of Saint Louis, the Superintendent of Catholic Education, and the catechetical documents of the Church.
Specific responsibilities of the position include: serving on the Superintendent’s Cabinet; leading the Religious Education Team; developing effective religious education programs; working with school and parish leaders to ensure Catholic identity, promote evangelization, and provide opportunities for adult faith formation, professional development, and religious education certification.  The position begins July 1, 2017.
Qualified applicants will be a practicing Catholic, understand the philosophy of Total Catholic Education, have an advanced degree in Religious Education or Theology, have at least ten (10) years of experience in Catholic education, demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and have the ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
