Capital punishment, contraception focus of June 25 Life & Dignity Symposium

Human Life & Dignity Symposium
On Thursday, June 25, the diocesan office of pastoral services hosted a two-session Human Life & Dignity Symposium at Cathedral Square Center in Grand Rapids. The sessions focused on the issues of capital punishment (AM session) and contraception (PM session).
The featured speaker was Dr. Mark Latkovic. He was joined by Father Steve Cron and Jude Acheson in the morning; and in the afternoon by pharmacy owner Mike Koelzer and Michigan Catholic Conference's Paul Stankewitz. The following topics were addressed:
Morning Session (9:30 a.m. to noon):
Capital Punishment: The Common Good in Conformity with Human Dignity (cf. CCC #2267)
