Funeral arrangements for Father Edward Boucher

Image: Headshot of Father Edward BoucherFather Edward Francis Boucher died on Nov. 22, 2018 at the age of 84. Father Boucher was born in Muskegon on April 4, 1934 the son of Alfred Ernest and Irene Blanche (Wehrle) Boucher.  He graduated from St. Joseph Elementary School in Muskegon and as a youth, earned the level of Eagle Scout. He was proud of that accomplishment and supported the Boy Scouts throughout his life. Father Boucher continued his education at St. Joseph Seminary High School in Grand Rapids where he graduated high school and completed his first two years of college. He then spent two years at the School of Philosophy in Montreal, Quebec. He completed his priestly formation at St. John’s Seminary in Plymouth, Michigan, and was ordained in Grand Rapids in 1960.  After his ordination he served in parishes in Grand Rapids and Manistee, MI.

Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial

  • Visitation: Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 6-8 p.m. with rosary at 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 28 one hour prior to the Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 1716 Sixth St., Muskegon.
  • Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Bishop Walter Hurley, presiding, and Bishop David Walkowiak concelebrating.
  • Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Muskegon
