Principal for PreK-8 Program
– Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary School,
Belmont. is seeking a principal for its PreK-8
program. Established in 1958, Assumption is a vibrant and
highly respected school with a long tradition of academic
excellence, a strong Catholic identity, enthusiastic parental
involvement, and community service.
The student body consists of 186 students
and the principal supervises 21 (full, part, shared-time)
teachers and 5 support staff, including the Pre-school program.
The school building was recently renovated and is in excellent
condition.
The school has the brand-new state-of-the-art
computer lab and its gym is the best in the diocese. Assumption
provides ample opportunities to pursue interests and develop
talents in areas of academic, music, art, technology, spirituality,
and sports.
The qualified candidate must be a practicing
Catholic with a Masters Degree, a current teaching certificate,
administrative experience, and development skills with a
track record in strategic planning. The successful applicant
also must have a strong knowledge of current curriculum,
an ability to model discipline and respect as well as a
keen sense for school development and promotion.
In addition, he/she must possess an ability
to communicate and collaborate with parish staff, teachers
and parents, and demonstrate a passion for Catholic education.
